Meet J9
Jeannine (J9) Sharp Mason is the founder and principal of J9 Brandworks, a creative consultancy built on three pillars: crafting brand identities that resonate, forging strategic partnerships that matter, and producing corporate events that leave a lasting impression. Her work spans nonprofits, sports, entertainment, and the corporate sector—always with a focus on connection and impact.
As a creative director at a Tucson advertising agency, she led high-profile campaigns for University of Arizona Athletics and local Tucson tourism, helping shape the region’s visual identity and cultural appeal. She later guided global marketing for a multi-billion-dollar medical corporation, leading a full-scale rebrand and securing national visibility through partnerships with the Los Angeles Rams, San Diego Padres, and Chicago Blackhawks. She’s also supported music and film promotion in the entertainment industry, helping bring meaningful stories to wider audiences.
A proud Tucson native and University of Arizona graduate, Jeannine is deeply committed to Southern Arizona. She and her daughter Mia—also a UA volleyball letterwinner—created a fund with the UA Steele Children’s Research Center to support immunotherapy research for children fighting cancer. She’s helped raise over $2 million through philanthropic partnerships and has served on the boards of the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Arizona Diaper Bank, and the Steele Center—always finding ways to lift others and make a lasting difference.
